epistemology can be described as the 'toolbox' we use to justify our reasons for beliefs - the things we hold as true

no, the 'street' bit just means we aren't qualified psychologists, epistemology is a recognized area of study - we are just using socratic questioning
techniques to ask ourselves 'why' we think things are true and whether we are justifed in our claims to knowledge
you can head out into the streets if you want, there are lots of examples of SE out and about
starting a club
